Display Contract Details

The Two Rocks Marina (TRM) is located approximately 63 km north of Perth in the Perth Metropolitan Region. It is within the district of the City of Wanneroo and was constructed in 1973. Today it is a popular facility that caters for both commercial and recreational boating activities. It provides berthing and mooring services and supports several businesses, including boat lifters and commercial fisheries operators.

In November 2014, following the expiry of a long-term lease, the Department of Transport (DoT) assumed management responsibility of the TRM. It was apparent that the facility had become rundown with much dated infrastructure still in use including the existing receivals buildings.

DoT is currently planning for the demolition of two buildings. Prior to commencement of demolition of a building there will be a need for a single 15m x 3m partitioned building that provides the following: male facilities including (two (2) showers, two (2) toilets and one (1) 2-person urinal) and separate female facilities (two (2) showers and two (2) toilets) and the option for (1) 3m x 3m laundry room. Alternatively, should it be more cost effective, the contractor may provide 2 / 6m x 3m transportable pen holder amenity buildings and 1 / 3m x 3m laundry building in lieu of the 15 x 3m building noted above.

The building(s) are intended to be temporary until a permanent pen holder amenities building can be constructed within the TRM in the future, expected 5+ years.
