The PathWest Laboratory Information System (LIS) Support team requires Transition Coordinator services to support the transition to operations of the newly implemented Soft LIS solution. The role will be responsible for coordinating the following activities issue management, management of change, governance, work management, monitoring and reporting; to support the Anatomical Pathology Soft LIS implementation.

Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively with the LIS vendor (SCC) and PathWest staff on the following activities:

Anatomical Pathology

• Issue Management for Anatomical Pathology (AP), to assist AP by:
  • Managing the existing high priority issues,14 in total, and translation of those issues into tasks for SCC where appropriate.
  • Co-ordinating the identified high priority Software Change Requests (SCRs), 22 in total, for submission to SCC.
  • Working with other PathWest stakeholders and SCC to have the fixes or enhancements related to the high priority issues or SCRs approved and scheduled for delivery by SCC.
  • Tracking and communicating the configuration changes in Soft LIS to address issues and improvements that can be achieved through configuration.
  • Assisting the team in organise the development of training artefacts.
     
• Management of AP Soft LIS Functional Support to assist AP to define and adopt:
  • Soft LIS SME role(s) and responsibilities to enable functional support for issues and pipeline management of new requests.
  • The relationship between AP Soft LIS Functional Support and PathWest IT.
  • A governance model and workflow process for Soft LIS support and management of change relating to the Soft LIS modules used by AP.
  • Work management processes to support the governance model for Soft LIS support and management of change relating to the Soft LIS modules used by AP.
  • Methods for monitoring and reporting to support the work management processes relating to the Soft LIS modules used by AP.
     

All PathWest Disciplines

• Validation of the governance model, work management processes, monitoring and reporting defined for AP with other PathWest disciplines, in order for the adoption of these by other PathWest disciplines.
• Communicate the benefits of the governance model, work management processes, monitoring and reporting defined for AP to other disciplines.
