| Description | The Fiona Stanley Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) operates the Intensive Care Clinical Information System (ICCIS), a clinical ICT system and associated workflow that supports the automation of physiological monitoring and charting processes. The ICCIS replaces the traditional paper-based ICU patient record, including the A1-sized bedside patient chart and paper medication charts with an electronic system. A variety of clinical system and ICU bedside medical devices are interfaced to the ICCIS. The ICCIS consists of a range of information sources and outputs which are collected into a single source to provide an integrated, patient centric view of the management of their episode within the ICU. The ICCIS is an established system which is critical to the functioning of the FSH ICU. The FSH ICCIS capability is provided by the MetaVision product from iMDsoft. The current version of MetaVision (version 5) is now end of life and requires an upgrade to Version 6 to:
The South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Clinical ICT Capital Program has initiated a capitally funded project to deliver the MetaVision 6 upgrade at FSH. A critical component of the upgrade involves the undertaking of a Pre-Project activity to determine the overall project approach. |
