| Description | Incorporated not-for-profit community organisations are invited to apply for funds to run youth development activities during the October 2006 and January 2007 school holidays. Projects should target young people of secondary school age only. The program aims to encourage and support community based organisations to deliver a range of holiday activities for young people which reinforce positive behaviour, enhance self-esteem and improve personal development. The program is delivered through a range of indoor and outdoor activities that provide challenges in a supportive social environment. Applications which demonstrate that the proposed activities will target disadvantaged young people are encouraged. Grants will be to a maximum of $2,000 for each holiday period and are a SUBSIDY ONLY towards the total cost of the project. The closing date for applications is COB, FRIDAY, 23 JUNE 2006 and late applications will not be accepted. The Guidelines & Application Package are attached.
