An organisation’s (sport club, association, local or state government) decision whether to have a natural grass or synthetic turf comes down to their specific objectives for environmental, financial, social and health outcomes. The consultant is required to: • Develop a decision making tool (DMT) that helps organisations decide the appropriate choice of surface type - natural vs. synthetic for bowls, tennis, hockey, soccer/rugby, ovals (football/cricket) and/or any relevant multipurpose facilities; and • Develop a detailed report on natural vs. synthetic turf for the above sports that the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) can use to assist with decision making, policy and planning. |
