Do grants need to be published on Tenders WA?

Whilst it is not a policy requirement for grants to be published on Tenders WA, Public Authorities are encouraged to do so. A number of Public Authorities, including the Department of Treasury and Finance and the Department of Housing and Works, choose to publish the details of awarded grants on Tenders WA, reflecting best practice and a commitment to transparency. All Public Authorities must publish details of awarded grants in their annual reports.

Who can or must advertise requests on Tenders WA?

All State Agencies subject to the Procurement Act 2020 (the Act) must advertise tenders on Tenders WA in accordance with the Western Australian Procurement Rules. Public Authorities not subject to the Act, and partners in State Government Private Public Partnerships, may advertise tenders on Tenders WA at the discretion of the Assistant Under Treasurer, Procurement Policy and Strategy, Department of Treasury and Finance. Permission will not be given for any other entity to advertise tenders on Tenders WA.
